1919Lot20 PFEIFER SODA BOTTLES/Original HUTCH/Hutchinson Case/Crate MASCOUTAH IL. Condition is superb overall, with two of the 7 oz embossed bottles having minor lip chip issues, and the other 18 being in the solid 6-9 grade range. Minor high point case wear on a few. The confusing thing to me is this: these are all period-correct bottles for the date on the case, but hutch bottles were used primarily from the late 1800s thru about 1910, only this is very clearly an original Hutchinson style case...dated 1919... oh well, I guess there are a number of plausible explanations, but all I really care about is that they’re old, and cool, and in great condition.
